Out today: Slurred Oath 'Botanica'

An ethereal blend of ambient, post-Americana, doom, and folk, available on cassette (limited to 100), Bandcamp, and all streaming services.

Slurred Oath's 'Botanica' is an ethereal blend of ambient, post-Americana, doom, and folk that is as transportative as it is unpredictable. It's a story of murder, with each of its four tracks painting a part of a narrative that tells of the crime, of haunting, of hiding, and eventually being taken over by the ghost. The duo is comprised of Vanessa Darby and Scott Miller, who each have extensive music histories in an array of genres, making for a rich, deeply layered listen. Mastered by Grant Richardson at Hex Audio Labs, parts of 'Botanica' were recorded in tunnels and storm drains along the Southern California coast, further adding to the allure and mystery of this dynamic work.
